Far From the Madding Crowed by Thomas Hardy
It is a literary classic and an it is also an interesting and exciting love story. The plot is really good and keeps you wondering how things are going to work out.

Facing Your Giants by Max Lucado

it's about facing fears and/or challenges in your life, and how to do so... the way the author writes - the way he portrays the characters that he uses to illustrate his points... makes it impossible to put down. I finished it in 3 days, while on vacation at the beach...

as Levar Burton says on Reading Rainbow:
"...but you don't have to take my word for it..."
