Why do catholics and fundementalists (evangelicals) hate gays so much. God Wouldnt have put gay people on the earth if he/she didn't want them there

P.S. I like to remember that the bible was not printed in heaven, it was written by men, so like that thing about how being gay is an wrong, is probably a result of their own prejudices

Catholics in general don't "hate" gays. Many are very liberal minded. Yes, the Pope says that gays are subhuman, but a large percentage of Catholics do not agree with the pope on many issues, including this one.
Fundamentalists, on the other hand, are taught to fear and hate anything that clashes with their beliefs. Fundamentalism is a cult. Cults are designed to cut people out and raise up what they believe to be the elite few.
There are some verses in the bible that many Christians interpret as "gay is bad." The fundamentalists took that interpretation and turned something very hateful out of it.

It isn't because they are Christian, and therefore hate Gays, but that they hate Gays period. They can't use logic to justify their hatred towards us, so they use their religion as a means to spew out their hate and bigotry toward us in lieu of any deep thought-provoking arguments. The Bible may have once been the true word of God, but it has been horrendously misinterpreted to benefit those against us.

you know what alpha Kenny thank you for that beautiful word u need to share it with the rest of the world and that other person I don't care to mention his name who says that the English bible is the word of God is an ignorant Christian and knows absolutely nothing about history the Israelites wrote the Bible not god and back then a lot of people in the roman empire were homosexuals so for you to say that makes u sound stupid.

The Bible said that a
"(Straight)man sleeping with a (gay)man OUT OF LUST is an abomination"
not
"a man sleeping with a man is an abomination"
They need to get a REAL good translation of the Bible instead of this messed up English one.
BTW,
God do not hate gays!
David and Jonathan was gay and God loved them.

That's true. All the bad stuff that happens on earth - God putting us Gays on here was not one of them. We just bring more love to the world.
I guess it is because of their religious beliefs. The bible says it's wrong. It also says 'love one another as you love yourself'. There must be a lot of christians out there who do not love themselves.

Because they are scared and they are lashing out. They don't understand the love that gay people can have, and they don't understand that gays are people too.

it has to do with fear of the unknown and easier labeled as satanic or sinful.
