stress happens, you cannot relieve or change stress. What you can do is change how you react to stress. Just sitting quietly for five minutes and concentrating on your breathing will reduce your physical response to stressors. If you feel you have a great many stressors in your life, suggest a stress management class would be a good idea.

Soak in a warm bubble bath (aroma therapy in the bubbles)
Use a bath pillow (about $5 at Walmart)
Close your eyes, breath in to count of 7, hold one second,
breath out to the count of 7.
As you breath out, imagine all the tension flowing out of your
body.

Physical exercise, walking, hiking, running, even housework, helps to work off pent up nervous energy.

Meditation.
Sit and close your eyes, back straight, legs crossed, arms on legs, palms up.
Breath in and out slowly several time to blow out all the tension in your body.
Review your day in your mind.
Is there something that happened that you did not like?
Erase it.
Replay the scene, and see yourself doing things differently.
See a pleasant outcome.
See people responding the way you wished they would.

The daily reivew is an excellent tool to do each night. It actually programs the subconscious mind to react differently
in situations where you usually have a hard time coping.

Good luck!
