I just got a bikini wax and now my vagina and the surrounding area is swollen, red and extremely itchy. Could I have gotten an STD from the waxing person?

It's not just like after a normal wax - it is REALLY red and massively swollen.

No because you ripped all your hair off. Of course it's going to itch. I hope you feel better. Try putting some aloe around the area just not on/in your vagigi

Sounds like you went to a crappy waxer. Obviously ripping hair out of a very sensitive area is going to hurt and cause redness and swelling. But not massive amounts of it.

You didn't get an STD, but they did mess up the waxing. Try a cold compress to reduce swelling and pain. And maybe just learn to live with pubic hair? It's alot easier than getting it ripped out.

No, it's not an STD. you just got a bad wax job. get some lotion for after waxing from the store, it should help to preven ingrown hairs(ouch)

If you are asking this question, you really are too young to get a bikini wax.

NO infection by the person giving the waxing. You have to have sexual or oral intercourse. It sounds as if you are having a reaction. Take a Benadryl.

well um, that should be expected. werent you givin any info when you had it done? try itch cream on the outside only. and/or a cold cloth. try just shaving next time. no swelling. lot less painfull.
