Best Final Fantasy game between VI VIII and IX?

Question

I am thinking about buying one of the PS1 FF games. please do not say FFVII because it is too expensive for me to buy. If you can, also give any extra information about each game that i might want to take into account, such as "this game has a bad battle system" or something else. Thanks!

Well, VI isn't on PS1. So it's just between VIII and IX. While I personally love VIII, I haven't actually played IX. But my friend told me about it, and some of the things in the storyline are pretty silly, stupid and irritating. While 8, I love it and everything, but sometimes things happen and then it's confusing to get past it, and the game is kinda hard, well to me at least. I kinda liked the battle system in 8, with the junctioning and GF summons. Whereas 9 has the class system in battle. I reccomend reading about it on wikipedia and making your choice. But I'd go with 8, but it's really up to you.

Sorry i forgot about the Origins and Anthology ones, but only thing is the game is still in sprite form if you get FFVI, but fun nonetheless.

Final Fantasy VI was my first FF, and it's my favorite of the ones you've listed. The poster above is incorrect, there was a version of FFVI released for the PS1 called Final Fantasy Anthology, which has a version of FFV and FFVI on it. The original FFVI came out of the SNES. It was also released for the Game Boy Advanced titled Final Fantasy VI Advance.

i might bypass with X, given which you're near to end XII. all of them are large video games, yet X has good photographs. i think of any of the older ones may well be in basic terms a sprint a marvel photographs-smart after XII.
