This is definitely a great question to make one question what is really important in life. Much of what we believe to be important changes with the winds of time, with emotions, with our physical health. etc. The memory I would like to have is of sitting on a beach, late one hot August night and listening to the waves wash gently in and out. The memory includes a feeling of being part of a great wonderful world.

When I was about 4, my Mom use to put me in the laundry basket and pull me around the yard after she hung our clothes to dry on the washline. She would pull me up a little hill and sometimes whirl me around in it. Since my Mom never really played with us much, it was not only a fun ride, but a fun time to share with her. She's 73 now. And I'm a little too big for the laundry basket. But it is perhaps my happiest memory.

I think it would have to be the time that I took my kid to a heated pool at the hotel where we were staying. Her reaction to it and ahhhhh... it's just a great memory that makes me smile and wish that day never ended. She smiled so much and I felt good.
