I love Doug Flutie. He is little but he packs a big punch. He had his own cereal in Buffalo, Flutie Flakes! In college he was a stud throwing that hail marry in the Orange Bowl against Miami. In th NFL he proved many people wrong and led th Bills to the playoffs. Ever sonce he has left Buffalio they havnt been back to the playoffs. I like Doug Flutie over Kurt Warner.

I have to go with Warner and teach the guy the 3 step drop.
He played well in NY and was not that bad on a weak Arizona team. He just hangs on the ball too long. Flutie is good, but he lacks the height. The NFL is getting faster and faster.

Warner has the ring
He played in 2 Superbowls
I believe that he still has game left in him
He is only 36

I personally like Flutie but if these 2 were competing on the same team Warner would likely be the # 2 guy and Flutie would be no # 3

I think Doug Flutie has done some amazing things. He was robbed by the Buffalo Bills in the game ( The Music City Miracle) against the Titans. Who knows? Flutie plays and maybe they win?

Warner has had a equally unlikely road thru Arena Football, NFL Europe to a back up in St. Louis that took a team that was 4-12 the year before into 13-3 # 1 NFC Team and a Superbowl championship.

The ring speaks the most volumes.
It would be 2 rings if it was not for the Patriots final drive.

Warner overall QB Rating 93.8

Flutie overall QB Rating 76.3

Warner's QB Rating for the Superbowl year of 1999 was a staggering 109.2

That is higher than

Steve Young
Joe Montanta
Terry Bradshaw
Tom Brady
Troy Aikman

or any other QB that has ever played in the big one.

Flutie only had 2 playoff appearences were both losses

1986 against Washington Redskins 13-27 Loss
1998 against Miami Dolphins 17-24 Loss

The facts for me make the most sense. No disresect for Doug Flutie but there is no way you can pick him over Warner.

Warner. He played in 2 Superbowls and won 1. Flutie was a good side show but he never led a team far into the playoffs.

I like them both, but I have to go with Warner, who has a Super Bowl ring, is the third-highest rated quarterback all-time (behind only Steve Young and Peyton Manning), is a 2-time NFL MVP, led the most potent offense of all-time (the Greatest Show on Turf), and mentored three up and coming quarterbacks (Bulger, Eli Manning, and Leinart).

Flutie suffers a bit because his coach in Buffalo is a complete ******* moron who benched him for no good reason 16 weeks into the 1999 season!

Warner is a lock. While I am a big fan of Flutie, and his positive attitude, the CFL may be pro football, but it is not run by, for the NFL. IF the CFL, wants to start and finance their own HOF, they have every right too, but CFL stats mean nothing in the NFL. The level of quality players, is much lower in the CFL, Very few "current' CFL players, could be competitive, in the NFL. If they were that good, they would already be in the NFL, where the salaries are much higher. Arena Football is similar, pro, but NOT part of the NFL. Warner will get voted in for his play in the NFL, NOT the Arena League.

I say Flutie. He was awesome and had all the tools except he was a little short. Too bad, if he were a few inches taller he might have been among the very best, as opposed to bouncing around.

I dont care what anyone says...warner was sooooo over rated. if it wasnt for the team he was on (lets see...marshall faulk in the backfield, bruce, holt and az hakim at wide reciever) he would have sucked like he does now all along. Its like trent dilfer syndrome. Warner was nothing special. It was the team he was on. Flutie was the little guy with the huge heart. He may not have a superbowl ring but id pick him to be in my huddle over warner ANY DAY!
