I know all about the period and all that crud, but I have had discharge for like a year and I haven't had my perriod yet, is it coming soon? Is this normal?

Anna, don't call it "crud", it is the wonder of your body. If you've had discharge it may signal the beginning of your period. Have you had a pelvic yet? If not, I strongly suggest you go to a female OB/GYN for your first pelvic and she will answer all of your questions and check you out to make sure your body is on schedule for you period. It is nothing to be scared or embarrassed about, these women doctors are really great, you can ask them anything.

It is normal to have a vaginal discharge. If it is green, smelly or yellow talk to your doctor because it could be an infection. If you have never had your period before it usually starts around 12-16 years of age. There are no warning signs that it is coming.

As far as I know this is not normal. I think that you should see a doctor. Good Luck I hope nothing is seriously wrong.

It's normal, and yeah, you'll be getting your period soon (and then you'll spend the rest of the time never wanting to have it again!)
