Last Genre Standing!?!?

out of all the music genres (including rock, rap, hip hop, jazz, metal, etc. etc.)
which one is the best and why?

Classical, it is the basis for everything else. Believe it or not even the most acid rocker or hard core hip hopper can tell you what a key signature is...thanks to classical music.

The Blues...

Pretty much ALL music today got it's beginnings in Blues - and THIS is coming from a Metalhead ;););)

Rock- because it's the basis of so many other genres so it's like the starting point of a lot of modern music.
That or Alternative & Punk.

I say Hard Rock, Alternative Rock, Emo, or Pop-Rock because most of the time, especially here in 2007, these type of genres evoke emotions in people and really means something important..

Rock - Its takes talent to play an instrument and sing, as for the other genres such as metal, they all emerged from rock.

Classical - by a long shot!! It's stood the test of time, and when all the fad genres are long forgotten, they'll still be around, good old Mozart, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Verdi, Puccini, Tchaikovsky, and on and on and on!!!

Even though it has evolved and changed through the years, it still endures.
