He would either invite your to his motel room, or report you to authorities.
Either way, you'd be screwed.

This particular topic is dealt with in the basic educational psychology course required for an education degree. Although a crush can happen with any age of student, it's most common among middle schoolers. The second most common is a senoir high school student having a crush on a newly graduated teacher -- the age difference may only be 3 years.
The appropriate teacher response is to firmly and definitely let the student know that the crush is just a phase. If the student persists, the teacher must refer the incident to the school councilor or district psychologist.

If the teacher has an once of brains--
If the teacher has a crush, the teacher will keep silent and get over it, avoiding all unmonitored meetings with the student.
If the teacher is told by a student that the student has a crush on the teacher, the teacher will inform the school administration in the presence of trusted fellow teachers and/or reliable friends. And again, avoid all unmonitored meetings with the student.
The same rules apply in a college situation, because it usually arises between a professor and a current or former student, casting doubt on the professor's impartiality and the student's actual achievement in that class.
As for feelings, reasonable teachers would feel threatened.

This sort of situation would somewhat depend on the age of the student. It is unprofessional for any teacher to form a romantic attachment with any student, but it becomes a matter of legal problems when the student is a minor. Teachers, as authority figures often generate a kind of awe or admiration from their students, but this is not a crush. It is more of a trust. Most teachers would never violate this trust by developing acrush on a student, but may be flattered that the student has a crush on them.

flattereed - then fearful - it can be trouble, children who have crushes on thier teacher have been known to make up lies to get back at the teacher when the teacher is not interested in them - it has landed some good teachers in jail or in the unemployment office -
happened in my high school - until the police investigated and were able to prove what the girl said never happened - luckily my school had cameras - that the girl did not know about - unfortunatly that teachers reputated was tarnished - and he ended up leaving the profession out of fear that it would happen again!!!

I'm a teacher and I feel uncomfortable when the kids jokingly say things like that to me. I usually try to jokingly say something like "in your dreams" so to put him in his place and not hurt his feelings.
Honey, anything more is totally inappropriate and only terrible things could result from "going that way." Find a cutie putootie your own age and give it a go! (You really don't want some old toot who is so imature he stupes to crushing on a student.) That is just embarrassing !
Hope this helps you out from even letting your head "go there."

Any teacher who was any sort of decent person would never disclose something like that. The only way to find that out would be to do a Jedi mind trick or something.
Bottom line it puts the teacher in a professional dillemma. Sometimes it works itself out and other times....King of Comedy.

Student to teacher crush = normal
Teacher to student crush (unless you're talking college student/professor) = wrong!
A teacher would probably feel flattered if a student had a crush on them, but to have a mutual attraction when the student is a child...is sick.

I would be horrified and terrified if a student told me they had a crush on me. I would go to my principal immediately for the proper procedure. I would probably call the student's parents and suggest the child be moved to another class. If you think I'm paranoid, think again. Accusations of improper conduct with a student can ruin a teacher's career. I love being a teacher and I don't want anything to jeopardize my career.

Have you watched the news any time in the last few years? Unless you are in college (which would be better but still not good) or you want to see someone end up in jail, then you had better leave this situation alone.

Uncomfortable, regardless of whether they share those feelings or not (which chances are, they don't). They'll be in an incredibly awkward position because continuing on will be risking their job, their reputation, their freedom, their family. It will, most likely, ruin the relationship you have with your teacher.
