Yes 12 is to young to be having sex, you are still a child , weither your a young teen or not. You dont want to have a baby at your age because you would never forgive yourself in the future for having to raise a child at a young age. Give yourself time to grow up and have a life , make your dreams come true and in the future sex will come back up in your life make the right choices , at least be on birth control and us some other kind of protection because birth control isnt always 100% . But at least wait till your older like 18 .

12 years old is very young your still a pre teen you have plenty of time to have a (sex life) most pre teens who deside to have sex are looking for attention . And if your with some one who is older than you and are presuring you into haveing sex that relationship is fake . and i can tell you dont want to because your seeking advice about it . if i were you i would think about the pro's and con's of it . There so much that can go wrong and even when you are and adult . but if you have your mind set on it . There are local Plan Parent Hoods that you can go to . your information is private they can give you birth control pills and they wont call you parents you can go in all by your self and talk to them or just call * if you are going to , then get help its easy to make a mistake you cant take back *

Don't you "kids" have anything better to do these days? I am only 22, but when I was 12 and 13 my friends and I never even thought about sex! WAIT UNTIL YOUR MARRIED. You shouldn't have sex until your in a very stable relationship (years) and have a home to live in, and can afford to take care of a child.
YES 12 is WAY too young.

Oh my god yes! The earliest age anyone should be having sex is 18! You could get pregnant and ruin your entire life! Imagine what it would do to you! You would have a kid you have to look after at the age of 12! That is when you are supposed to go to school! That is 6th grade! NEVER HAVE SEX until you are at least 18! Even if you didn't get pregnant then you would carry the burden of keeping the secret of having sex from ur parents all of your life! OMG! DONT DO IT! :-|

Yes. My mom's a nurse and there was a twelve year old who gave birth and had to be taken into the ICU do to complications. Not trying to scare you or anything, but her parents wanted nothing to do with her anymore.

there has to be a happy medium here....there are many questions to be answered first...
is 12 too young to be having sex...NO. but if you consider all of the consequences, then yes....
?'s to be answered...is she mature enough to understand the emotional goings on of the sex act itself
does she realize that it is not just 'penis thrusting in and out for 2-3 minutes' but an emotional and deep feeling for her and the other participant
is she emotionally prepared for the after effects of losing her virginity so young and to someone who may not have cared either...all he wanted was to get his pecker wet...
is the male partner of similar maturity and understand the same things?
is she prepared to use proper contraception and will provide it if the male does not...are she and he versed on the correct way to apply a condom and he gets the correct size....
is she mature enough to understand and care for a pregnancy if she should get impregnated?
does he understand that he is the responsible person as well if she gets pregnant and he needs to provide 50% of the love...$...et cetera for his progeny as well...
it is certainly a very emotional topic and has lots of emotional thoughts involved as well as physical...

Heavens, YES! You should wait until you get married, truly are dedicated, and then decide to get children. Do you really want to be labeled with names from the peers around you? Do the right thing and wait-- please do. Do you know how many lives out there have been ruined with teen pregnancies? Heck, some young teenagers already have CHILDREN! That isn't how it's meant to be!

Yes. The legal age is usually 17 or 18, it depends on the state you live in.
Having sex at that age can expose you to all types of STDs, not to mention creepy pedophiles. It's just not good.
