I lost my pocketknife maybe a couple years ago. My girlfriend passed away 2 years ago in August from breast cancer. I decided to take some flowers to her grave site which I've done numerous times. As I looked down at her grave marker there was my pocketknife laying on the stone. I'm not sure how it got there. The best I can figure it must of fell out of my pocket at her burial or one of my visits. Somebody must of picked it up many months later and placed it there. I can't believe it survived a couple midwest winters numerous lawn mowings. Other than being a little bit dusty it looked fine. I can't help but think my late girlfriend didn't have something to do with it.

I lost my keys YEARS and years ago. Never did find them. Then when I was moving a couple of years ago...... we lifted the sofa to move it out...... and as we lifted it, you could hear this jingle. the cushions were off of the sofa so we could see that nothing was underneath. But you could still hear this jingle. We ever turned it over thinking something might fall out. Finally....... I found a hole in the upholstery next to the arm of the sofa. Lo and behold........ there were my keys. They had slid down this hole. They were useless now. I didn't even own the car that I had had at that time. But it sure was nice to finally solve the mystery of the keys years and years later. :)

Years ago when I was in grade school... 2nd grade I think... my dad wrote me a check for lunch money. I lost the check and I remember it seeming like I big deal because my dad had to call up the bank and cancel the check etc. A few years later I checked out a favorite library book of mine at the school library. The check was in the book. I was the only person who had checked out that book in years!

I had a very large collection of buttons (not only being a sewer, but a chronic pack-rat), and once when we moved, I was unable to find the buttons for over a year. Finally, I opened a box which was stored away, which said "Books" on all sides. My buttons!!!

Wrapped up in a trash bag! The deli, I used to work at, baked their own bread & would put them inside a huge bag & set it on a tray for easy access. When the bag was empty, we would roll it up to use later as a trash bag. One night, I had lost a ring my grandmother gave me. I looked everywhere & was sure it was gone! A couple of weeks later, I went to grab one of those trash bags & my ring fell out!! I was VERY excited, to say the least!

I thought I had lost my nugget ring, looked everywhere and
I mean everywhere. Finally gave-up, the next winter after it got cold again,broke-out my cammo jacket and there it was! It
was in the top pocket, then it just came rolling back. Remember that I had helped one of the kids clean a deer and pulled it off. I was just tickled to death.........

I found my cat INSIDE the sofa. I heard meowing and could not figure out where it was coming from. Eventually I narrowed it sown to the sofa. I lifted it up, but it was sealed. Yet, the meowing continued. I had to cut open the bottom to get her out. To this day I do not know how she got in.

I found my heart the other day under my bed. Never thought that I lost it, honestly, I just thought I was born without one.

I found a G.I. Joe vehicle in woods near my house, overgrown in a couple of bushes. It must have been about 10 years since I had last seen it, and it had one my favorite G.I. Joe figures still in it, Storm Shadow.
