Sage is cute and not common. I like it because it is more unique and she probably wont have to deal with being Sage #1, 2, or 3 in her class at school, something I had to deal with being a Heather in the 80's. Middle names depend on the last name. Using your middle name or a familys middle name can be complimenting to the name as well and adds a personal touch to it.

Sage reminds me of the herbs and bushes sage brush, don't really like that for a child.

Kari people would always be pronouncing it wrong, just as you corrected earlier the child would have to be correcting people all her life, i have a name like that - always having to correct people, it get irritating that people cant remember it or say it right.

Makalyan is unusual and would most likely be trouble like Kari.

Adalyne unusual but very pretty! i like this one! Use this for the first name then a short name for the middle like Kay or Grace >
Adalyne Kay / Adalyne Grace

or use Sage or Kari for middle names, but certainly not first name.

Soryn sounds like a depressing name.

Lydia is a cute name.

Kari because I know a boy named Sage, Makalyan, Adalyne and Soryn are too unusual for my taste and everytime I think of the name Lydia I think of a song "Lydia the Tatooed Lady" that was sung by Groucho Marx in one of the Marx Brothers Movies.

*** I like Lydia. Sage is pretty for a middle name and it would have been my second choice. Kari is too common and the others I just don't like. I know a boy named Soryn, so it sounds masculine.***

Can I tell you whi I don't like them?

Sage - it's a herb for a reason- It is the same as naming her parsley or oregano. Don't do it.

Kari- is kinda boring and a bit to harsh a for a girls name. Reminda me too much of Kara and I hate any Ara name - zara, mara, cara, lara- they are all horrid.

Makalyan- How do you even say that?

Adalyne- Hmm a combination of adele and madelyn? Not to sure I like it but it is probably the best of the ones you have chosen.

Soryn- Interesting- never heard of it before, it's not objectionable, but you could do heaps better.

Lydia- way too old fashioned.

That is just my opinion though- if you like them go for it.

Good Luck

I love the name Adalyne, it is gorgeous!! It would be great for a child or an adult name, sounds beautiful and professional... Also the name means "Noble" which is a great characteristic if she follows through with what her name stands for!
Great choice!!!
Good luck!! Toni Lynne

PS I like the name sage, but have ONLY ONLY heard it on boys, it sounds very outdoors-y and masculan to me... It's just my opinion, I think it is a great name, but not for a girl. Hope this helps!

Not wild about any of them...with the exception of Kari and Lydia, they all have a bit of a trying-too-hard-to-be-unique feel about them especially when you start spelling them all weird...it will just be complicated for your kid. I'd go with Kari if I had to pick one. Sage is nice too but it seems masculine to me.

I would change Kari to Kerri. Otherwise, I would use Lynne. Cute names, and they won't haunt the girl when she grows up. Imagine all the people who would pronounce and incorrectly spell Makalyan, Adalyne, or Soryn.

I also like the names Kerri and Lynne because they are very feminine, and are perfect names for little and "big" girls.
