I have not heard such news and I am German living in the USA. I have German, international TV satellite, but have not heard of it.
M, whether Germany is right or wrong, I think some one must understand, that in our German country there is no such thing as Freedom of Speech etc. Or freedom of making Movies as such. I think Tom Cruise is gone nuts any way with his Scientistic beliefs. And I would not want him making a movie any more. Cause I think he is a fake.

Mostly all Germans are Catholics - it is very stong in Germany and they would be opposed to any out of the norm religion, cult or new age order.

It is their country to admit and refuse admittance at their own discretion.

Yes, they are within their rights to forbid him from working in their country, just as the U.S. is able to stop people from working here. He is definately a wack job though, so I can see their point. And to correct Jewel, Germany isn't predominantly Catholic, they are Lutherans.

No - I think it is crazy. What are they afraid of? Its real knee jerk reaction stuff and has something in common with the hysterical book burning we saw around the time Satanic Verses was published. And Angelika - of course he is a fake, its called acting.

He is in a cult. And trys to justify his crazy beliefs and spreads them to other naive actors and actresses. I would not want him or any other lunatic in my country.

seems a bit petty to me (but they didn't seem like a nice cult on the tv)

It is their country and basically they can do what they like, who are we to say they are wrong? It is going to be their loss financially and perhaps prestige wise, but if that is what they want to do so be it.
