The 1st question would suggest not making fun of her on the count of her(self) being fat.

The second suggests maybe she (or fat people in general)may not take kindly to being made fun of (but not nessecarily because of thier weight.

Do you see the difference?

Any thoughts on this?

I see a difference. If someone were to say the first one to me, as you have emphasized on the IS, I would be highly offended because yes, it comes across as the person calling the 'her' in the sentance fat. However, the second is more like, It's not nice to make fun of her BECAUSE she's fat...so its like...she cant help it. I agree totally with you.

You have nothing better to do with your time then to ask stupid questions is she fat or maybe she is fat or do i think she is fat.The only thing i see is you have a fat girlfriend that people make fun of or you yourself have a problem with her being fat which is it?

You should never make fun of anyone for being over weight. Yes there are obese people out there who have just as much confidence as a model, but there are also just as many who do not have any confidence.

If you have a friend who is over weight and they have no problems with you joking with them that is one thing. But unless you know the person, never make fun of them becuase of their weight.

Emphasizing IS is just pointless. You want to emphasize fat in the first: "Don't make fun of her because she is FAT".

The only one who emphasizes words like that is Chandler. Could you BE any more wrong! Lol

Don't make fun of her BECAUSE she is fat ... is the more correct of the two versions...... and when making fun of someone, remember that as many people look silly to you, you look silly to that many people, and maybe more .......
