Is that the most annoying...! I live in Arizona, and fans, (ceiling, floor, desk, table, blah-blah-blah) are the saviors of the bulk of us (refridgeration bills are murder!) and need all the help we can give 'em!! A whining fan will drive me bats! It's not like I can comfortably shut the !#$-%! thing off! Grrr. So, my relationship with my fans is cordial, regardless of what I think privately. I'm sorry yours is whining, have you told it you really love it?? (Hey, whatever works!) Be careful with the 3 in 1, or WD40, or whatever oil you use; the little.....dears are touchy! }:>

Nope, but I have a working relationship with my central a/c! I am freezing in here! Ask your fan if it wants some cheese with that whine... (LOL)

I use the air conditioner but it is on the fritz, I am sweating my a ss off !!! I wish I had a ceiling fan.

No ceiling fan...it ran away after trying to use it by force.

i do but hubby doesn't maybe he can hear the whining more than me but then again i'm just used to whinging & whining & block it out

they always whine. nothing is every good enough for them. just turn up the sound on the TV and ignore it

I have one that wobbles and seems will fall any minute and another that sounds like a group of gallopping horses in a race. Neeeeigh
