Time varying magnetic field or motion within a magnetic field can result in heat through a number of mechanisms. If you change the magnetic field in a ferromagnetic material, it can create heat due to hysteresis. Iron conduction electricity. If you change the magnetic field in an electrical conductor, it will induce currents within that result in Ohmic heating. Iron filings rub against each other during allignment. This makes heat via friction.

Magnetism itself does not create heat, but certain mechanical devices that magnetism drives generate heat, electric motors or generators. You could stand in a magnetic field all day and feel no heat from it.

Remember, energy cannot be created or destroyed!

A magnet can create electricity, which can create heat.

It can. An example is induction heating in ferromagnetic materials by eddy currents. Or induction heating of plasma in the magnetic "bottles" of fusion experiments.
