Basically the same car on the same platform, 6 of one and a half dozen of the other.

Safety is probably the same since like said above, they are on the same platform. Handling could be different though, maybe the Chrysler would have a softer ride (which equals less sharp handling) due to fact that it is the more "upscale" of the two. Im not sure on that, but its probably mostly a wash, with most people deciding between the two on looks alone.

their almost basically the same car, they are made by the same company,and share an almost identical drive train,either car in that would be a good choice,the stratus i can say is a god car because i own one,and have worked on a lot of sebrings,their also good cars,i have seen better results from the stratus though than i have the sebrings,good luck hope this helps.

Frankly, I would not buy either one of them. Both are similar, on the same platform, and differ only in exterior sheet metal and trim lines. The latest version of this model(s) is a mediocre car, at best.

You can do much better for your automobile dollar with other makes and models.

Neither car is good. Get a Toyota Camry instead.
