No he was what we call a Metro-Sexual. But who knows it was a village full of male smurfs but only one female some of them could have been getting their smurf on.

Why does it matter? It was a cartoon from the 80's and I doubt any little kid would care if one was gay. I bet most of the kids who watched it didn't know what gay meant.
