I think it really got it's start in 1994 when Republicans took over Congress & then got an enormous boost after the 2000 recount mess. It shoes no signs of decreasing any time soon.

They are such hypocrites!! Here are some reasons:
1.They accuse DEMS of "tax and spend", but here they are doing "borrow and spend"
2.They rant on about "smaller govt.", but Bush's govt. is quite large and rather ineffective.
3.They sell themselves as big tax cutters so YOU can keep more of your money, but the tax cuts just go to the people who SHOULD be paying for the Iraq war.
4.Some of the worst ones wouldn't mind doing away with social security. I'd kind of like to keep it myself.
5.They preach on about being against abortion, but could care less about all the poor without health care in this country.
6.They love to go to war, because then they can know where to invest their money, whichever companies the govt is contracting for military purposes.
7. They cut funding that hurts not only the poor, but the middle class, too, such as funding for public schools, head start programs, birth control education, etc.
8. They usually hate some group of people: blacks, foreigners, illegals, the poor, gays, the liberals, France, Canada, etc.
9. They don't often question the party line, like you see the democrat congress has low ratings now; it's because dems will criticize our own if they disappoint us.
10. Because they elected Bush/Cheney and look at the mess we're in in Iraq.

I don't hate republicans, but I do remember being invited to an aunt's house for dinner, when r. reagan was running for president, and she said "ronald reagan - our next president!" I spoke up and said that I thought he was a poor choice, and she said "If you're a Democrat, you don't eat at my dinner table."
I loved her very much, but I found that with a republican you just can't talk politics.
Needless to say, I got up and walked out.
On the other side of the family they were all Democrats until they made their fist million dollars and then suddenly, in order to protect their interests, they became republicans.
One of them, my millionaire republican cousin, was made the executor of my mother's will, and he cheated me out of my rightful inheritance.
So, I don't hate republicans, but I found out that money is more important to them than family, and in a pinch, you can't trust them.

Ann Coulter said it best when she said Liberalism is a Religion, Liberals claim to not be Religious but they really are.
Liberals have their own doctrines, their own sacraments, and quite frankly Liberals are prejudice against Christians, Jews, Republicans and well members of any faith (except Islam and Liberalism).

The liberal invents the views. When he has worn them out the conservative adopts them.
