I think it must be a giant worm that makes it very difficult to see when anyone looks in the closet. I think he wraps himself up in sort of a ball at the back of the closet.

i was six. i woke up trembling and terrified to death? then i felt a presence in the bedroom. i Did Not want to look over but i did. their were 3 small DEMONS flying around my older brothers bed. one of them looked over at me and i screamed but no sound came out my mouth. i put my head down till the greenish light in the room went away and i felt they had left.they were very weird and ugly and i will NEVER forget those evil evil eyes.True.It wasn't a dream
