Is MAC really better than PC?

no not at all the Windows Pc is still the most used operating system in the world for a reason very buisness friendly and entertainmet friendly now the mac does have an edge in photo edititng but big buisness do not give there workers MAC's unless they work at apple.

Raw Speed - Windows PCs have a serious edge here. Where time is money, processor speed can be very important. Regardless of how hard Mac advertising attempts to claim that the slower clock speed Macs are really just as fast as a PC, it just ain't so and proven so by every bench test out there. If you have the "need for speed" in gaming, software development, 3D rendering and other applications, Windows is the clear winner here.

and also 95% of the internet is surfed using Windows based pc's which is one reason there are more virusus for PC's then the Mac's becuase they are more popular and since it is more widely used you will find alot more software for windows then for macs. Ps Mac's have viruses to so for any apple fan who says macs do not have virus's is their wrong and i have had my windows based laptop without any virus's and no virus software

That depends on how you look at it. PC has a lot more support than Mac on software and hardware. On the other hand Macs don't really have any serious viruses like spyware. I used to have a pc and my hard drive always crashed because of viruses. Now i have had a mac for 2 years, NOT A SINGLE VIRUS. Macs are expensive, but in the long run they're are actually cheaper than a PC. Once you get use to Mac OS you'll see how far ahead Macs really are. I will never buy a PC again.

Mac has better hardware, good for graphic-rendering programs, not as prone to virus/worms because it only has about 5% to 10% of the market (main reason why most hackers DONT target MACS), however, they are usually more expensive than a PC and there isnt as much software out there for MACS. A PC is supposed to be a relatively inexpensive, more software selection, most computers uses Windows XP, with it's backward compatibility and Plug&Play features and having 90% of the market, well, it leaves a lot of room for virus/worms to be written because hackers want to get the best 'bang for the buck' when it comes to their virus/worms and the damage done.

Mac comes from the factory, ready to rock and roll. You plugin something, and your Mac will use it. If you have never used one, takes getting use to. But they are no faster, don't get on the net better. Some draw backs, a lot of stuff is not made for a Mac, so you have to be carefull if you want something for it.
PC, world wide. Easy to find stuff, with vista running, has a lot of Mac features. PC costs less.

MAC is good is you want to be pretty safe, and don't do much else then surf the web. But I've always preferred PC. As long as you're not dumb, you can go about your computering time without getting attacked by a killer virus.

It really depends on preference, I personally DESPISE the Mac operating system, it doesn't make sense to me like Windows. And most people I know prefer windows, but some swear by Mac. I would say the majority is with Windows, though.

that depends on what you mean on "better"

mac is more safe than windows, but you cant play as many games as in windows. and in mac, you dont have many choice of hardware if im not wrong....
