So how do the libs rationalize their change of positions? Going might have not been the best idea but leaving before achieving victory is a horrible idea. The only thing stopping a victory is the American left and those who bought into their anti war rhetoric. We'll lose this one the same way we did Vietnam, not on the battle field but back here at home we destroy ourselves. If we supported the mission and the government felt it could pull out the stops, things would be different. Good thing we didnt have to fight WWII this way.

One reason theyre willing to leave now is tthe US is running out of young soldiers to send and theyre afraid they might have to go, to put their money where their mouths are.
As a matter of fact Ann, you should enlist as well. Be good for you to see whether someone on your squad is willing to lay his life on the line for yours.
