i am going to be starting gymnastics soon to learn a back hand spring. i have been watching videos on YouTube and what i am thinking i want to learn they are calling Cheerleading Tumbling as the title. I want to learn how to do the thing where you do a bunch of backhand springs then a backflip at the end. any ideas what it's called??

If the flip at the end is balled up like a somersault in the air, it's probably a back tuck. If it is long and straight, it's likely a lay out. If it is long and straight and twists, it's a full twist.

If you want to see a sample of a cheer tumbling class, go here: The links are on the left, under the coach supervised practices section. http://geocities.com/aescougarcheer/basics.htm#st

Good luck!

You would call it a row of backhandsprings into a back tuck
since it is a combination of skills.
