would you go to establishments that have child free areas?

Would you mind if some businesses just said NO to children? (not bars or strip clubs, but retail or other stores/businesses for example)

how would you be effected? Or would you like it better if you could go to a movie and/or store and not have to hear a child whining, crying, or just not being supervised by their guardian?

for the sarcastic, I said bars/strip clubs b/c kids can't get into them, or they shouldn't be currently.

If people had better discipline towards their children, I'd say no I wouldn't go. But considering some of the parents I see these days and the way that I see children act and treat their parents I can't stand to see some kids in public. My mom and my boyfriend feel the same way. Going to Denny's and seeing kids run around is one thing, but trying to have a nicer dinner at Claim Jumper's and having to talk over screaming kids is a hassle. We wait until after 8 to go out hoping there are less kids around. And it's not only restaurants, it's stores and other places too. Get a handle on your kids! And for the record, I'm having a son in about 3 weeks, and you better believe he won't be acting like this.

I would love to go to a place that is child free. I went to Walmart a couple days ago and this kid about 2 rows over cried the ENTIRE time. As I went up 1 row and down the next they were always a couple rows behind me but it was never ending crying! I would pay extra to go to a store that doesn't have kids. And I have 3 kids (14,8 and 5) so this isn't prejudice talking.

The only place I would go that is child free is the movie theater because when I go to an "R" Rated movie I don't want little 7 year olds watching and screaming during some parts of the movie because they're parents are lazy and irresponsible.

I think it shouldn't have to come to that. Parents SHOULD know better than to bring their kids to certain places if they can't behave.

I wouldn't expect to have an intelligent conversation at a quiet table for two at Chuck E Cheese, and I wouldn't expect to go to a four star restaurant and watch the waiter drop a tray of food because someone's child is running through a dining room full of antiques either.

Public places should expect a good cross section. Specialty businesses should expect the clientele to be self governing. But lots of parents think their little angels belong anywhere they want to be.

Well, since I still live with my parents, I guess I'm considered a "child". I don't think there should be "child free areas" because there's the kids who behave well, too. I babysit a lot and the kids I watch all behave well and are very polite. Not all children are whiny and crying. My parents take me to nice, 4- star restraunts and I behave well, along with my brother. It depends on how the parents teach the children.

I would love that, I don't hate children, but to have some places that keep them from coming in would be so nice, if we did not make the decision to have children right now then why do we have to put up with other peoples children, they are not our responsibility, and the people with children always want you to be so sensitive towards their little bad a** children, I would be a nicer person out in public if there were no children in certain areas, not all areas, because I do like children from a distance, but like I said, why should people with no children have to deal with other peoples children, it is like nonsmokers not wanting to deal with the smoke of the smokers, children can also cause premature death in healthy adults

Why would a child be in a strip club or bar? I would hope they were banned from those establishments.
But seriously, I think it should be up to the individual business owners. But they should be prepared for lawsuits by very angry parents.
