Worse, I remember my sister having both the Donny and Marie dolls as a youngster. I didn't know if they were brother/sister or married (could have been both). I remember the schmaltz and then his almost ironic "return" in the late 80's. Was strangely compelling, in the way that Michael Bolton was the IT guy then.
No surprise, his material sounds dated now, but even then he was a niche performer, best used in Love Boat episodes and musical guest on Dinah Shore or Mike Douglass.

I do. You would be surprised at what a great singer he is. He was the singing voice of the young soldier in "Mulan." What a voice. Say what you want about him, you can't deny the talent.
I understand he put out an album recently of 70's love songs. Haven't heard it.

I do! My cousin Karen loved him. She knew all his stats and had his pics plastered on her walls. Here's a bit of trivia, and I can't believe I remember this, his favorite color was purple.
