I have been to Vegas before and stayed at the excalibur (only b/c it was so cheap). I wanted to go back in April for my 26 birthday and was wondering a hotel that would be good my friends and I (ages 23-28). I wanted a hotel that is in a good location and does not have to many families and not outrageously expensive ( though I am willing to spend some money). It is going to be a pretty even mixture of girls and boys, couples and singles. Thanks for all your help.

Assuming you aren't looking to slum it, I would say The Palms. Since it is off the main strip, make sure you or one of your friends rents a car so you can get around with ease. There are plenty of ways to waste money in Vegas, but cab fares shouldn't be one of them, rental cars are cheap there.

If you don't mind being slightly off the strip then the Hard Rock Hotel is a good bet. The pool is considered one of the hottest in Vegas and the "Rehab" pool party on Sunday is packed before 9:30 in the morning.

If you want to stay on the strip I would recommend Caesar's Palace (to a certain degree) or the recently renovated Planet Hollywood. They both try to cater to younger crowds.

Two of the hottest night clubs are at Caesars and the Venetian so that may count if you want to stumble back to the hotel conveniently.

I found the Palms kind of strange. During the day it is mostly a senior citizen crowd and at night mostly a younger crowd. But personally I found it over-priced. And while it looks close on a map, it is not a good walk from the strip so having a car is a necessity.

Have a great time.

I would highly recommend Mandalay Bay (especially if you're visiting LV during the warmer months). The pool has been ranked the best pool in the city since it's been open. It has a variety of clubs to attend (including Rum Jungle and Fourty Deuce). There are great places to eat as well. Caesar's Palace is nice, but it's a little on the older side (especially the rooms and suites). As for the Palms, it's a beautiful hotel with a brand-new pool area. It's a little too "playboy" for my liking and if you're going with boys/girls/couples, may not be the best place. Plus, EVERY club is usually packed because locals and out-of-towners visit the hotel all of the time. It's usually VERY crowded. Then again, if that's the type of thing you are looking for, then the Palms is where you should stay! :) Hope this helped!

The Palms Hotel and Casino. Best Club in Vegas. It's called "Rain." And don't miss "Pure" at Caesar's. And the shopping at The Forum Shops at Caesar's rival Rodeo Drive. In fact, Caesar's might be the best place to stay. (Hope you've been saving up!) It's in the heart of the strip. And you want to see The Mirage, The Bellagio, and The Venitian. Walk all around the water, and take a gondola ride. It'll make the best picture. (They take it, of course! ) :)

Try Caesar's Palace. It might be a bit pricey, but it's right in the center of the strip so you can walk just about anywhere. Have fun!
