Regarding pain in my lower left side. Im 12 weeks pregnant.. the doctor ruled out UTI or kidney infection but now the pain has moved into the upper left side of my abdomen just under my rib cage. My doctor is out of town till monday so I wanted your opinions of what it may be or if you have had anything similar happen? It hurts to breath, and even walk.

Not gas or pulled muscle thats for sure its moved from the lower left up to the upper left side and now the lower doesnt hurt at all. Its a constant pain but gets much worse if I take a deep breath or try to walk.

I am 25 weeks preggo and went through the same exact thing. My doc told me it was from a round ligament pain where your baby and uterus are growing and your body is just stretching and making room.
The doctor told me to lay down and take it easy if the pain was just horrible and if ANY bleeding where to start to see the doc or go to the emergency room immediately. I hope this helps sweetie I know I am just as scared as you are. Good luck and congrats.

Yes I have! But I wasn't pregnant, It first started in my chest, then I was constantly bleeding and very heavy. Then i started to get this sharp pain in my lower rib area. They also though it was a kidney infection but I passed that with flying colors. They never found out what it was but it lasted for about 2 months. I was in pure Hell! It hurt to lay or sit down. It was painful to breath or laugh. And eating, I was constantly throwing up cuz of the pain. I was on sick leave from work and on pain killers for the longest time. I never thought I'd experiance such pain. So yes, I've had the similar thing, but they find no sloution. Sorry. Hope you feel better soon.

Wow.. I would go to an ER if my doctor was ok, you wouldnt want anything to be wrong especially if you are pregnant. I would suggest that its the baby kicking your ribs, arounnd 20-30wks i use to feel the pain in my ribs all the time and the doctors said it was the baby.. but please go see a doctor to make sure everything is ok.. maybe you slept wrong one night and your muscles are sore.. I dont know and neither one of us will know on here... good luck and its only wednesday so make another appointment to see another doctor this week or go to the ER
honestly u really should have asked your doctor this after he ruled out it was a UTI or kidney infection, he could have best answered this and your concern would have led him to determine the problem

It may be a peptic ulser as well. May have nothing to do with baby go to the er and let them check you over just to be safe. My husband had a simular pain to what you are decribing we thought maybe he broke a rib somehow (thats how much pain he was in) turned out to be an ulcer. They put him on a very expensive medication and two weeks later he was viola' he was better1

Hey, get to a doctor, if your baby is your first concern, (as it should be) then you need to rule out anything serious. Often pregnancy can cause your body to react in different ways to different things. For example, when I was pregnant, eating greasy food was very bad for me, in fact , a decision was made to remove my gall bladder after the baby was born. Luckily for me, the problem healed itself when the baby was born and I am only cautious now with what I eat. Either way honey, get it checked out!

I had some similar pain and I went to the hospital for it and they told me it was round ligament pain. Basically, your baby is growing. My daughter is nine months old so I really don't remember how far along I was, or if that is what you are experiencing.
