I sure do. It was lots of fun. I also remember drive-ins, soda fountains, a gas station attendent who would check our car,unlocked doors of our home during the day, filled church pews and wholesome movies and tv shows........ Guess I'm getting old.

In Hollywood...they were on roller skates...I think it was Mel's.or Dolores's.....
Also, in the valley Bob's Big Boy...it was 1956. They
screwed the tray to the outside of the driver's window
and I always had the same thing: a Bob's BB with avacado
and special sauce (I think they still make it) and a vanilla
malt. We'd finish, turn up the radio to hear the Platters
or LaVerne Baker and bop around the parking lot. That
was several incarnations ago and I'm still rockin'.

When I was a very small child like- 4 or 5. There was an A&W in the town near us. They still did come to your car and take your order!
WOW, times have changed... now we talk into a speaker at DAWG-n-SUDS or SONIC... how inpersonable!

Yes, we still have a place here called Sonics that still does that. My 8 year old thinks it is the coolest place to eat.

Yes. We would order onion rings, an orange frosty drink with Mighty Mo. And they would bring it and place it on a tray that fitted outside the car.
Hmmmm good. They don't make food like that anymore.

Yes I do. In fact we still have a place in town that does that and until a few years ago we had to places that did. They also have picnic tables so you can enjoy the weather.

sure here in florida the A&W was flying high in the 70's with car hops ... today a cheap imitation is the Sonic with car hops on skates..ain't what it used to be ...
