I bought this goat from a door to door salesman and I want to milk it. It keeps trying to gouge out my eyes with it's horns. How can i keep it calm while I milk it?

yep...it is far harder than it looks. if you do it wrong it is uncomfortable for the goat....particularly of course it isn't a girl goat.

Yes I have , because I have a small herd of milking goats. Are you for sure you have a milking goat? Is it a Boer or a Pygmy? These are not milking goats and there for they can not be milked. The only way to calm it while miking her is get a milking stand. Also give her some grain and hay while milking her. Only milk in stainless steel buckets.Get your goat test before you milk her. Remember goats milk all year around except for 2 months while they are pregnant and the 2 months are the last 2 months of there pregnancy. It is actually not a good idea to milk or breed a goat from a door to door salesman. Good luck!!

get a goat milking stand. it's like a bench with some wood for the goat to put its head through and it holds food

Put a collar on it and tie it to a stake that you would stick in the ground.. After you get the milk,be sure to pasturize it(boil it than stick it in the fridge) to eliminate bacteria. and be sure your goat has had a kid before. If not, you wont get a drop of milk anytime soon...let alone cheese.
