Has anyone ever been able to sell their old magazines? How did you sell them?

I have a lot of old magazines that are in good shape and I was wondering if anyone knew how to do it.

Try Craigs List to sell your magazines also.

Make sure the person is local, can pick them up, and pay cash only, no checks or money orders.
Do not give out your bank account numbers for automatic deposits by the buyer. Cash and in person only.
Do not send out any through the mail.

I have *bought" old magazines on eBay. I never buy one single issue. My "special buy" was six years of Real Simple from one seller. Why? I fell in love with the magazine and just *had* to have every single issue.

My other magazines I give to FreeCycle (tm), except for vintage magazines, which I save carefully.

I sold some old doll magazines, and one or two Playboys, on ebay. The best thing is to offer them in batches for a low price since most people like to get a number of them, not just one. (Except in the case of the Playboys, which had certain celebrities in them.)

I have sold old magazines through ebay but it is hard work when selling singly. You might have a better chance if listing them in batches if you want to do this.
Otherwise, try a music memorabilia shop. You might not get too much back for them, although they will probably offer you a better deal if you want to part-exchange with something in their shop.
