Ram isn't your storage area, it's the memory used to run progs and system stuff. Your progs are stored on your hard drive. Go to 'my computer' and check your 'c' drive.

RAM Doesn't change due to games being installed, RAM is virtual memory, for example, if you load up a game, the speed of the loading depends on the RAM you have.

If you install a game, your harddrive space will be used up, maybe you were thinking of 8.97 Gig?

Well anyway, RAM doesnt change when things are installed / deleted, thats your harddrive.

installing stuff dose not make your ram go down as ram is not used for that ram is used for this

the game will use some of your ram when you play it as all programs on windows use ram from msn to music but when the open file/application is closed the ram go's back to what it was

eg if you have 512mb of ram and halo needs 200 then when halo is open it will use 200 and u will have 315 left but as soon as you close halo it will go back up to 512

Your RAM didn't go down because the game is not installed to RAM - it is installed to your hard drive.
I believe you are confusing the difference between Random Access Memory - which is temporary and permanent memory - written to your hard drive.
