Why would harry be a horcrux if Voldemort would have to kill him to vanquish all opposition, according to the prophecy. Thus destroying a portion of his soul, and creating an 8th part passing the most powerfully magic number "7."
That's an interesting idea however, and being a living horcrux and being in Harry's situation seem to be kind of similar, since we have seen the circumstance in Nagini (sp?), the snake horcrux. However, Voldemort expresses control over Nagini while Harry and Voldemort's connection is more mutual. They're mutual in that they both share feelings, and thoughts, and visions from each other, while at least I think, Nagini doesn't share this unique connection with the Dark Lord.
It's a fascinating theory that isn't completely eliminated, but it doesn't seem to fit right now.

His "bind" to Voldemort didn't exactly start until after Voldemort used some of his blood in the potion that gave him his body back. And Voldemort wouldn't want to kill Harry if he'd made him his horcrux, that would mean he'd be bringing himself that much closer to his own eventual demise. Which means that Harry is not a horcrux.

Oooh, spooky. That would be a twist. But, considering that a prophecy was made before Harry got the scar saying that in the end, either Harry or Voldemort would die, I don't think Voldemort would put part of his soul in something he hopes will die.

I do not think he is a Horcrux. This would mean that Hary himself had to embody evil. Also, I think that if Harry WERE a horcrux, Voldemort would not be trying to kill Harry, but would do all he could to preserve Harry's well-being. Why would you KILL someone if you knew they were preserving a piece of your immortality?

I think so too! He's very similar to Voldy and it makes sense to me that's the reason that the whole killing curse backfired.
