My Notebook monitor is heating up. Its just below where the LCD screen is. Its below where Windows Toolbar is.. and above where the F9 key is. It heats up, but you can still touch that area. Should i be worried?

I heard that its just the area where the cords run through to power the moniter up.

I have a gateway laptop that's about a year old, and mine does that too. It hasn't broken yet, so I wouldn't worry about it.

How long have you had the laptop? There could be many reasons. First, your fans and vents may be clogged. Do not use compressed air. You should open the bottom of the laptop case and use tweezers and a cotton tipped swab to clean out the fans. Don't rotate them manually. You can also pick up an external notebook cooler. You can choose from many options for the power supply for a notebook cooler: battery, AC adapter, or USB adapter. I prefer the USB adapter for portability, but to each their own.
