I hate to sound blood thirsty, but a hell of allot of Japanese children were eliminated in WWII. That is war. And I hate to say it but if we do not make the Iraqi people fear us more than they fear the insurgents, we are out of luck. They are not turning in the bad guys for fear of their lives instead of looking at how many of their own citizens they are killing by failing to do so. If we wiped out a few communities sheltering the insurgents, they might start giving information.

Conservatives are traditionalists who don't like change, they have a very 'defensive' attitude about thier nation, culture and society. If they see a threat, they may be enclined to lash out. Thus, more 'hawks' are conservative than liberal.
Traditionally, abortion has been viewed as ending an unborn human life. Though science has made it pretty clear that a foetus isn't very human, and certainly isn't viable outside the womb for some time, it's quite common for conservatives to stick to such old-fashioned views.
The two positions are entirely consistent.

I'll ignore the rather jejune comparison and get to the heart of the matter:
Look at my posts from the last year. I support the war effort and will continue to do so.
But it breaks my heart and disgusts me beyond words to see that our selfless and brave military commander in chief is refusing to perform HIS duty by securing the borders of our country. He's not only supporting amnesty, but pushing for it!
Given this stance, which undermines his entire "homeland security" policy, I don't know how he could look any US troops in the face and ask them to fight and die for a country he is actively working to undermine.
I voted for Bush. I support the war. But Bush, by his own actions, does not.
PS If any politician - Democrat, Republican, or even the President - says they "can't deport all these illegals," then they should RESIGN, and let someone who CAN do it have the job instead.

Another idiot question! War and abortion have NOTHING to do with one another and furthermore any Iraqii children being killed are not being killed by Americans...DUH! You can try from now till the cows make that proverbial trip home but you cannot ever compare apples and oranges. Sheesh!

The last Republican President that knew anything about being conservative was Teddy Roosevelt.

War is hell. Something which is not to be entered into
lightly, but when everything else fails and the country has been
attacked, it's the only thing to do.

You need to do more research into what political conservative means. You clearly do not know what you are talking about.

Where were you when Saddam was in charge, he blew their heads off and hung them for public display. Those people needed you then real bad.

To the previous answerer, Iraq never attacked our country. 9/11 had nothing to do with them.
