still supportive of President Bush eventhough he wants to pass this amnesty bill and have us legally invaded by a 3rd world country?
As a Conservative I just don't understand why others like me are still loyal towards Bush eventhough they know he is more of a Dictator than a President.
And they know that he wants to turn our Great Nation into a third world country so all of his rich friends will have all of the money while the rest of us starve.
So why do they still stand behind him?
Do they really think that you have to be a Liberal or a Democrat to disagree with him so that's why they still insist on showing their loyalty?
We should be capable of forming our own opinions based on fact rather than what others in our group believes we should think.

I think fighting terrorism is a very important issue but I think if the rules of engagement were removed and our soldiers were allowed to actually fight this war it would have been over soon after it started.
So I think there's another reason why it has gone on as long as it has.
I think we have war profiteers who are making far too much money from this war and that's why it has gone on as long as it has.
And I do believe the Iraqi people need to try harder to run their own country but first we need to do what we're supposed to be doing and get rid of the damn terrorists.
But our soldiers have too much to deal with that they shouldn't have to.
Such as the media breathing down their neck and always trying to make them look bad and fear of imprisonment because of political correctness for doing their job.

Nice question - sadly most people will miss the answer....the truth of the matter is that in order to go to where the government wants to go, the support in congress needs to be there...the rest of the country - if you follow the polls are NOT supporting him - hes down into the 20's last time I heard

Besides the government doesnt give a crap about what you or i want - it only cares that it carries out its agenda toward the "new world order". Government will NOT stop moving in this direction until enough people stand up and do something about it - even then it may be too late

The immigration bill is NOT dead - it cant be dead - it needs to pass in order for the superhighway to go through between Mexico and Canada - why does it need to go through you ask - because without it - if we have the superhighway - we have effectively have no control over anyone coming into this country.

With it - we legalize the people and set up a pathway for more of them to come into this country - without americans saying anything about it....it has nothing to do with them being legal or illegal...it has everything to do with the way its spun and presented to the american people

How many of you would say sure - let all the mexican come and go as they please wihtout making mexico a state....thats what I thought....so you get my point

Once the superhighway is in place then the next step will be the north american union. This too will need to be presented so that everyone will think its in their favor....guess Orwell wasnt kidding in his book eh?

So are you all preparing for the coming event - if not - i suggets you start buying your gold and silver now, while its cheap, before its too late

I am a conservative who is totally against this new immigration policy. We have immigration laws on the books and need to enforce the current laws before we change them. When it comes to Iraq, it is about time for the Iraqis to step up and take charge of securing their own country. Why should we defend their freedom when they are unwilling to defend it themselves? I hold no loyalty to the President.

I think there are many conservatives who are critical of Bush. The people that continue to stand behind him seem to be the neocons and the religious right. Bush's platform is one of liberal social policies combined with religious based moral authority. It has been disastrous in my opinion and is a far cry from true conservatism.

People loyal to any political persuasion will ride out the bad with the good, figuring in the long run their politics is better than the alternative.

This immigration issue, though -- looks like all our politicians want to take the easy way out.

Not all Conservatives and Republicans are still supportive of the president. Hopefully, that bill will never become a law.

I am a conservative and do not support the President on this bill at all. I think it is the worst possible thing that could happen to our country.

We're finding that it's not about conservative or liberal, it's about these politicians in washington who are traitor's to thier own country. They are being bribed to pass this amnesty and ignoring the people who say NO!

Actually, his popularity has gone down even more after declaring that he supports this bill. So I'm guessing more Conservatives are disliking him now.

Please go back and look through all my posts. Im conservative, and have always said I support him on the war, I don't on the border. You can look at a person per issue, and not have to follow a party.

99% of Bush die-hards are white christians. To them, the Iraq occupation (and support of BushCo) is a race/religion issue.

Sadly, they've even got that part wrong.
