I like it because I feel my son is safe and I like the school for the most part! It is boring here nothing really to do! I hate that! I do think it is pretty here! I go camping and hiking a lot! Thats about all there is to do! I love cotter and mt home! I use to spend a lot of my summers there camping, fishing, hiking, boating, and it was great!
If you like to do all that than you should visit Arkansas !

I've been going to Arkansas once a year during Labor Day since I've been with my husband (we've been together for 12 years now). His dad lives in Mounds (near Rector) and his brother lives in Paragould. Within the last few years, his aunt and uncle have moved down there (retired) and his sister moved there just to get away from the drama she was involved in out here in Indiana. Since we've had our daughter, we've started going to Arkansas twice a year. We just went before Memorial Day and will be going again for a week during Labor Day. I really love it down there. The atmosphere is so different from here and everyone is so nice. In another few years, we may be moving down there ourselves. If we do, my mother-in-law will be moving also (not with us, of course) because she's already said there will be nothing to keep her in Indiana anymore if all of her kids and grandkids are in Arkansas! Anyways.... I am a yankee girl, so it will take some getting used to, if we do decide to move. Is Rector or Paragould anywhere near where you live?

My daughter lives in Cotter, AR about 10 miles from Mountain Home, she loves it. It is VERY near wonderful camping and hiking areas. It is very small and quiet and you have to have a car as ALL shopping, including grocery, is a distance away. Mountain Home is larger and is where everyone goes to shop. It is only 1 1/2 hrs outside Branson, MO. The schools are small but excellent. Arkansas IS NOT a large state, but one of the most beautiful as it is nearly all mountains, and is mostly rural type living.

I live in Wisconsin, right by Soup Town where that man was caught having sex with the dead deer's body. It sucks, there is nothing to do. That's why 95% of kids in my town drink and do any drugs they can get their hands on.

Just last night my friends got in a head on collision and killed a poor innocent woman. Sam is going to juvi for 5 years and prison for 25 years, she's only a 14 year old girl. Shelly almost had to get her leg cut off.

I thank God that wasn't me. Everyone in our group has drank and drove, this is the first time something this bad has happened. Everyone's opened their eyes and I think we've learned a lesson.

The schools are terrible. Especially in the elementary schools. Kids talk about sex and call my brother the most horrible names, it takes all my energy not to knock the ******* out.

In high school there's lots of skipping. Lots of pot smoking and pill snorting in the bathrooms. Not the best place to grow up.

So yeah, Wisconsin sucks, but I deal. I could never move because I love my friends to death. They're my life, even though we've got to shape up.

Fort Smith.....really nice, boring of course, since it is a small CITY (80,000).....It was hilly, so I liked it (seeing that I'm from Jacksonville, FL)....I was there to visit my uncle...but nice and a great trip overall.....but the property may take a lot of maintenance since the homes in my uncle's neighborhood were huge.....
