Russell likely wont play next year..but if he does....Not very good at all...Oakland still has a HORRIBLE offense...He'll have to wait a few years to be what Oakland wants him to be there because of that line in front of him.

O ye of little faith.
If JaMarcus takes a page from the Dan Marino book of how to be an NFL QB and heap high praise on his OLmen while they do a good job, he should have an excellent year as a starting ROOKIE QB.
Remember the commercials with Marino taking his guys to dinner and one of him buying them Isotope gloves for Christmas?
Maybe the guys that block for him will block better than those that DIDN'T for Aaron Brooks.
Hopefully, JaMarcus will turn into a prince at QB and not be a frog.
Dominic Rhodes will be his LT and take a LOT of pressure off him while the passing game, now that Moss is gone, will get better as the year progresses.
Their schedule is kinda tough BUT, the help that they'll get from the D should get them to 8-8.
Maybe 9-7 as they'll surprise some teams with their new offense.
The D came close to giving them a few extra wins in '06-'07.
KC will have a poor season and Denver won't be as good as everyone thinks and may ge challenged for the wild card by Oakland.
Ya heard?

terrible, oakland sucks and so does there offense. Hes good but he'll struggle due to the support up front by the o-line and the offense around him. his receivers are average if that. Jerry Porter is good, but he tends to spout off and pout, and he could become a posion in oakland. and the only thing mike williams is good at is dropping passes... hes an underachiever. The running game should be decent with rhodes and jordan in the backfield, but idk with a line who blocks really bad. Plus Russell probably won't have much time to pass, oakland gave up 72 sacks last year... thats ridiculous. Oh and oakland's record will be either 5-11 or 6-10. In the future he will be better, I could see him being a mcnabb type QB and carry the whole team by himself if they don't get any support for him.

I don't know.
Of all the places to wind up as a Rookie starter, he got the worst O-line and not a lot of great talent as far as backs/recievers go to support him.
And if he plays the way that he did at LSU at times (forcing the ball, relying too much on his strong body to buy time) then he will have a terrible season.

I don't think he will start the season. I think it will be like the Vince Young situation last year. He will do pretty good, but he Raiders won't improve until they get a good O-Line and a quality running back.

- Only rookie to start
- 2,000 pass yards
- 400 rushing yards
- Make Porter a HUGE threat
- Lead the "Silver&Black Attack" to a 8-8 record.

Bad. The problem with the Raiders isn't the QB, is the whole franchise.

Terrible... but what do you expect with the Offensive Line as bad as theirs. I just hope the poor kid doesn't get injured.
