Unidentified flying objects exist. If you're talking about spaceships, then we're still unsure.

They do exist. People see things in the sky all the time and don't recognise them for what they are, therefore those things they see are 'Unidentified Flying Objects'.
The first time I saw a microlight aircraft I didn't know what it was, although it was obviously man-made (I could see the bloke sitting in it). Because I didn't recognise it, however, it was by definition a UFO until I found out what it was.
Lord Darkclaw is quite right to say that there is no reliable evidence whatsoever for extraterrestrials visiting Earth. It is now a matter of public record, however, that Germany, Britain, Canada and the USA have all experimented with disc-shaped aircraft at some point, and that the USA and Britain (via Canada) continue to do so.

A good question.
Answering under the premise that you are speaking of extra terrestrial space craft.
There have been thousands of sightings all over this planet. If only one of those sightings was, in fact, a UFO, then it would seem to logicaly follow that they exist.
If you can discount all UFO sightings as some sort of identifiable phenomena of non alien origin, then they don't exist.
Easier said than done given the sheer bulk of sightings.
In my opinion, it could easily go either way with out hard evidence.

To Scientheists, U.f.o's are space particles that have not been identified in their ability to rapidly duplicate gene particles to evolve, and when they 'fly' as a single particle from outer space toward earth, as fast as they do through the ozone, they rapidly evolve at a rate greater than the necessary nine human months.
They believe that since Ufos are a combination of unknown space molecules and ions, the heat and molecular components in the first ozone layer assist the Ufo molecules and ions to rapidly evolutionize, however not as thorough as human prototypes do.
Since these Ufo molecules only evolutionize by rapid mitosis at the first ozone layer, Scientheists believe they can stop them or apprehend them from entering the earth's atmosphere at the ozone layer.

If you cannot identify something in the sky, after some careful observation, then you can say you saw a UFO. It doesn't mean it's from outer space and it doesn't mean it's something tangible. It's just something that hasn't got an explanation that we know of...and let me remind you that our knowledge is very incipient even in our days. There's so much that we don't know in present time.

Well, there is absolutely no evidence of alien spacecraft ever coming to Earth (trust me, I've done my homework) but it is very likely if not certain that there are alien spacecraft somewhere else in the Universe - whether they could achieve interstellar travel is anyone's guess, at the moment there is no -practical- known way to travel faster than light so it is not considered possible that they could reach us even if they knew of our existence.

You can't say that UFO's don't exist. So you can't know. The only thing you can prove is that they DO exist.
My point being that just because you havn't seen something (IE, God... ghosts...) doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
But if something IS seen by your own eyes then you just proved that they do exist (atleast to yourself... others will of course be skeptical).

You can't know for sure.Something like that should require proof to believe. If you investigate, you'll find most claims don't hold up.The ones that we can't explain are few and far between. They are not good evidence. Here's a good article, you'll find a lot more at the site.
