Funny I asked a similiarly topic'd question about ten minutes before yours.
I think that pretty well sums up how I view her and her antics.

Yes, I have been embarrassed by her style of debating.
I had never even heard of her until one night in Nov. 2003, when I was watching a program on C-SPAN called "Debate on the Role of the Supreme Court." Ann Coulter was one of the 3 conservatives on the panel debating with 3 liberals. And listening to her comments on that program is the MOST I have ever listened to her. I've never read any of her books.
Based on things she said during that program (which I taped and have re-watched many times), all I can say is that many times she is trying to make a point that I agree with, but she makes her point in a way which is not accurate, valid, or respectable. So yes, she does indeed "debase the dialogue," in my view. I wish I could refine the way she talks. Because many times her point is a good one, but she exudes far too much cynicism in the way she makes it.

Coulter is a very smart broad and she knows where the money is and how to get it. Her style is paying off in big bucks so she will not change until the big bucks go away. Half the time she doesn't know what she is talking about but she goes on and on endlessly overpowering everyone who tries to slow her down. She has it all down to a science. I personally find her disgusting and cringe when I listen to her rantings.

It's to make money by selling books.. And it works, has to be the easiest way for anyone to sell books. She really doesn't have much of a platform on anything, or it doesn't seem that way since she's incapable of answering questions without spinning the topic back to a differant talking point.

Ann Couter is her own worst enemy. Anyone with an ounce of brains does not view her as anything more than 'mouth'. That's how she makes her money. Saying things that are totally unnecessary and insulting. One day she will fall on her own sword. And yes, she has one.

I'm a conservative and a Republican and I think Ann Coulter's a moron.
I also can't stand Rush Limbaugh though I felt sorry for him for his addiction to narcotics and all.
And no, I have no great love for Bush, Cheney or any of the religious right, moral majoritarian nutbags.
In short, I can't stand right-wing extremists and Coulter's as far right as you can get without fall off the edge of the continuum altogether.
So there you have it.

i've never seen ann coulter 'debate' at least not according to any definition that i've ever read for that word.
when she was point-blank asked by elizabeth edwards to stop the personal attacks - coulter responded by stating that would mean that she would have to stop writing and speaking.
therefore, it's coulter's own words that damn her the worst - her own admission that were it not for personal attacks, she simply would have nothing to say.
please tell us all where personal attack is included in any debate that takes place in people older than 8 years old.
i'll say it again, coulter does not debate - if she did - she would have responded to ed schulz's simple challenge to debate her.

In my opinion, Ann Coulter (the persona) is kept alive by the conservatives in an effort to help balance all that is out there on the far left - whom have already been elected into government! (example - Pelosi, Reid, Kennedy)
She most definitely is over the top.

Haven't you noticed that the lib/left can hurl any lie, slander, insult, or smear they want and it's all within their rights of free speech, but if somebody throws a little mud their way, they always try to get all pious and lofty about being above all that? It's call "moral authority" that they think they have a monoply on. Just more lib/left bull.
