On my intel core 2 duo e6700 oced to 3.05 ghz (with thermaltake v1 cpu cooling) I'm getting idle temperatures of 46-48 celsius, and about 62 celsius under load. is this safe?
thank you

You are really pushing it on the safety with those temps. You are technically supposed to be safe up to 65, but I wouldn't be comfortable getting that close. I would definately look for a better cooling option, or clock it down a little. Your problem could be that it is overvolting, I can help you with that issue, send me an email or instant message.

it is a little high, most idel at 38 and load around 50, over 60 and your shortining the life of the CPU,

are you using the stock cooler?? If your overclocking get a better one!!!

A little high compared with mine but still on the safe side. I'd check the fans. You have to clean them once in a while.
