well i can't really get the tampons in either but i can give you some tips from friends and my mom (and me):
1. no matter what anyone says, do NOT go swimming without a tampon, even if you think your flow will stop. once your body gets used to the temperature of the water your flow WILL start up again. (and no one wants that to happen, especially you)
2. try using a mirror when putting in the tampon. my house is veryy...modernized..and in one of our dining rooms the whole wall is a gigantic mirror and that kind of helped me see where the vaginal hole was and everything
3. put K-Y jelly on the applicator. DO NOT USE VASELINE! vaseline is extremely harmful and can cause irritation because it is hard for the vagina to get rid of!
4. even though i still cant get tampons in, i found it was a little easier to use a plastic applicator instead of a cardboard one.
5. read the directions on the tampon box and try different angles of insertion.
6. i know this sounds kind of pervy but try sticking ur pinky finger in ur vagina to find the hole.
bottom line: you have to swim with a tampon. you should also always ask your mom or sisters for advice. good luck!
i still cant get mine in...but im gona see the gynecologist maybe she will help me or something...if you cant get urs in i suggest you see the gynecologist asap too.

Using tampons is a matter of practice. The more you do it, the easier it becomes. It shouldn't painful, if you can feel the tampon, it's not in the right position. Perhaps you could try using applicator tampons. Shop around for different brands until you find something that suits you. Good luck!

Sit on the toilet with legs spread wide with one hand spread your vagigi lips and insert the tampon towards your back, don't go to far just far enough so the tampon is all the way inside.
Good luck and I hope this helps. It may also help to where a supper small tampon. Then just go back to your pads after swim meet.

When I used to wear tampons I would sometimes lubricate the area to make putting the tampon in easier. The other thing I sometimes did was to take one of my other fingers and then slide the tampon along that.
The other thing I would suggest is getting in touch with your dr to see what other ideas they may have on this situation.

When I first started with tampons, I found them painful as well. I'm not sure what kind your are using but I suggest a plastic applicator and slim fit from Playtex. Take your time and relax during insertion. If you can feel it constantly while it is in than it is highly possible it's not in far enough.... experiment a little.

You can't swim without a tampon. If it's painful then you're either not doing it right or maybe the ones you're using are too big for you.

Whenever I swim or even take a shower my period stops....Yours might too. If it doesn't you might try (and I know it sounds kinda strange) putting lotion or KY jelly on the tampons applicator to make it less painful to put in. Well good luck! Hope this helps!

I wouldn't recommend swimming without any protection down there. I would switch brands of tampons and I would ask your mom or older sister how to put it in correctly.

It really depends on the brand you use, I found that the Tampax brand are too long for me. I actually tried a few and found that the Kotex brand are way more comfortable and not so long. You may not be doing someting wrong just maybe using the wrong one for you. Good Luck!
