Disgusting. He has sunk to new levels of debauchery.

I agree. Imagine a rock star smoking cigarettes. Why, he'll be drinking beer and playing cards for money next.

Re smoking in Cardiff, I don't think he was aware that the ban in Wales has already come into force before English ban starts on 1st July.

As for his intention of ignoring the ban in the future, I have mixed feelings. I'm against the ban myself and there is a side of me that wants to see the rules ignored in places where smoking would otherwise be allowed. But I think that this could put the venues in a very difficult position.

I doubt Slash will lose any sleep over the threat of a £50 fine (or £30 if paid promptly I think). But a venue could face the much larger £2000 fine if they don't enforce the ban. Which will be difficult, if a performer lights up on stage, are they going to cut the power and threaten to remove them from the building if they don't stop? I imagine there would be a risk of crowd trouble in such circumstances.

He's rich why would he care about a small fine like that?
Maybe they should think about increasing the fine for celebrities like him who can easily afford it. They should charge him £10 pounds towards every ticket that was sold for his concert - because it's his unfortunate audience members who were forced to watch him break the law. Lets see how many cigarettes he's willing to smoke then.

LOL ;-)

Yes! Most definitely! Lock him up and throw away the key right away! Disgusting animal!

(Am joking, by the way, thought I'd better say so because some people on Yahoo have a very huge sense of humour failure sometimes and take things way too seriously.)

Get a grip, man. Before I read the "news" I thought, from your question/comments, that he had stolen the Crown Jewels or peed on the Queen's hat or something.

It's just a cigarette and he is smoking on stage, so who cares.
