Hmm i think Rock because theres so many different types like, Soft rock, or heavy metal rock.
so rock kind of falls in the middle, and its something alot of people can enjoy, whether your young, middleaged or old.
Thats probably why kelly Clarkson is the most succesful American Idol because her music is enjoyable for all to hear, unlike Clay, who is a good singer, but his kind of music kind of just puts people to sleep after awhile.
You know what i mean?

My personal favorite is progressive rock, and the following bands are the reasons why:
Yes
King Crimson
Pink Floyd
UK
Kansas (in the mid-70s)
Genesis (with Peter Gabriel)
Dream Theater
Transatlantic
Spock's Beard
Jazz is great too, and what makes most of the above bands great is that they have jazz chops as well as rock chops. That's a big part of what makes them progressive: the sophisticated instrumental solos.
