Why does a brown cow give white milk when it only eats green grass?

1) Being brown doesn´t mean anything in the question, that has to do with its hair.
2) I don´t know of any other type of grass that is not green, so just by saying grass was enough. Grass contains chlorophil, that´s why it is green, chlorophil is NOT absorbed by our bodies, it goes with the cow´s faeces.
3) If a cow produces milk the way it does,it is because the gastrointestinal system it has takes the nutrients out of the grass, then it processes its components and takes what matters to its body. The mamary cells produce milk, not the grass...

This old question !!! What has the colour of the cow got to do with its milk all milk is white unless it has something like cocoa added to it to make it flavored milk . Human milk from a mother is white no matter what her ethnic background .MILK IS WHITE grass is green thats nature

I think they use foodcolouring. But truthfully there is calcium in the grass which is largely what the milk consists of. I am sure it takes a lot of digesting work to turn the green grass into a white liquid.

Ah ha! I think Newton it was who cracked this one. He showed that when you combined brown (which is red and yellow) with green, you get white. And hey presto, he's right! White milk from brown cow with green grass. Mystery solved.

no, a brown cow or a white spotty one or whatever will only give milk if it is forcably inseminated to make it continually pregnant....so it can supply milk for us lot...then when its spent every month of its short life being pregnant...so we can have our milk...it'll be dragged to the slaughterhouse..tortured and mutilated, kicked and beaten by some psycopathic throwback who has a job there and then left with its throat cut...upside down to bleed to death.....in the meantime its calves will be suffering the same fate...unless they are boys and crated for veal........all for that pint of white milk

Quite a dumb question really. Why do babies fill their nappies with brown sh1t. They drink white milk.
