If you can't win an argument, you better come up with a better one, not force your oponent to shut up. That's pretty childish.

The fairness doctrine gives equal time for each person to give his or her viewpoint on the airwaves. Radio and Television are governed by $'s and ratings. If you fail in the business, it is because nobody is listening to you, or watching you. Capitalism should be allowed to determine the fate of an individuals program, not government interference. The governments job is to protect the constitution and our borders (which they are failing miserably) plain and simple. They need to keep their greasy hands off the private sector.

The public may own the airwaves, but it's corporations that use them ie. radio, t.v. cable companies etc. The average Joe rarely uses them for mass com.

People have a choice of what they want to listen to. Like it or not, it isn't Air America and programs similar to it. If it were, conservative radio wouldn't be the airwave giant that it is.

No, it is not. The air waves are public domain and are regulated by the Government. The fairness doctrine was firmly in place until Regan got rid of it to open the door for Right wing dominance. People want a choice, and they deserve to be offered such.

How can you say such a thing? Don't you know the libs are all gung ho for free speech and expression of all points of view and all that constitutional stuff. Of course if you happen to disagree with them on anything , why everybody knows that is divisife and hate speech, and we can't have that, after all they know best.

That's not what the fairness doctrine is sweetpea.

Beyond that, all anyone has to do is move to satellite and they are exempt from govt policy.
