Far, far richer. J K Rowling is listed in the Forbes list of Dollar billionaires, the Queen isn't. Simple really.
Anyone who reads The Sunday Times Rich List (published once a year listing the richest 500 people in the UK) knows that J K Rowling is richer than the Queen.

Out of the question.
Think how expensive property in London is. Especially Central London. Think of Regent Street. How much would a building on Regent Street cost? Five million? Ten million?
The Queen is the landlord of EVERY building on Regent Street, and that is just one of her many hundreds of personal properties (I exclude the ones that are officially classed as public property such as Windsor Castle.)
How many books has JK Rowling sold? 300 million I would think. Take away distributors', agents' and publishers' fees, add film rights and maybe she could buy 3 or 4 of the buildings on Regent Street, if she stretched herself a bit.
