Your coach should be teaching you all of these things. If you have an inexperienced coach, she needs to get some cheerleading books and videos to learn the basics. At any rate, don't compare yourself to other teams at camp, you're just getting started after all. :^D

Flips: Can your team members take tumbling classes? At the very least you all should work on those cartwheels and get up to doing round offs. Practice perfect handstands and bridges too.

Jumps: Just do 'em. Practice will improve those. Just be sure to keep your chests and heads up.

Cradles: start your new flyers learning them on the ground. They need to lie down and stay really tight and practice the snap to pike for the cradle. Then have them do cradle drills where the bases scoop her, but then they let go to see if she can hold up her weight. The secret is strong tight abs and pushing down with your elbows like chicken wings. After that do a cradle pop from waist height, like she loaded in to go up to a prep, but then locked out while the bases stayed down at waist height with their hands. Pop and scoop her at that level. Once that is mastered do cradles from prep level. She must NEVER jump off their hands or lean backwards. And the bases must try to catch her as high over their heads as they can and not let her bum pass their hips, or she'll cradle too low. Be sure to have lots of spotters all around when learning that.

Also, there are lots of stunts you can do that are not preps with cradles that still look nice. Try some of them: http://geocities.com/aescougarcheer/StuntProgression.htm

Try studying some of the basic ingredients of cheerleading as well:

Practice, tons of train. The factor that pisses me off essentially the most approximately the cheerleaders at my Gym (I'm a Gymnast) is they easily would not have the force or decision to spend the hours wanted coaching, after which ***** whilst they are now not well. Bit of a conundrum there. If you do not train respectable hours, how will you upgrade? If your workforce does not desire to teach extra, discover a approach to inspire them, or perhaps stop the workforce considering that they are now not inclined to paintings the best way you're. Also I disagree with what some of the men and women stated approximately every person at the workforce being same. That's most likely now not precise, you seem at any workforce and you'll be able to see who's the most powerful and whom is the weakest.

Honestly you have to find someone who knows how to teach it. Like an experienced coach. Otherwise you can try to teach yourself through websites/books that show you how. But that is not always safe since you are inexperienced. Good luck and BE CAREFUL.
