crickets like a euro baseball right? and it seems to be other countrys national sport. sure its like a gay version of baseball, but has there been a star from cricket that made it big in the MLB?

Cricket player Andre Rogers played shortstop for SF Giants in the early sixties.

Good question! I don't think any cricketers have ever crossed over to the MLB. And FYI, cricket is a very different game from baseball and it's not "gay." I imagine a cricket bowler might become a heck of a hard-to-hit pitcher... and I doubt many ballplayers could hit a "googlie." The British game that most closely resembles modern baseball is a children's game called Rounders.

Interesting stuff below! I knew some cricketers were involved in the development of baseball at the start, but I never knew a cricketer played for the modern MLB!

In the early days of baseball (i.e., the 1870s), several players were former cricketers. Most notable was Harry Wright, who worked for several cricket clubs in New York and Cincinnati before turning to baseball.
