Which is the better brand of watch, Citizen or Seiko?

I'm thinking of getting my dad a watch for his birthday, and I can't decide between a citizen watch or a seiko watch. Which is the better brand?

I would say that a citizen watch is a better choice. There are different collection to chose from than the seiko. Mostly seiko watches do not have alot of collection for men

I would say SEIKO is a better choice because it benefits also from Japanese precise movements and has a really wide collection for men. The brand is well compared to Swiss brands, because of the reliability and durability. The Seiko watches are as beautiful and precise (or sometimes better) as any respected Swiss brands. I own a Seiko Flightmaster and it's fantastic!

I owned a Seiko 5 Superior and only got repaired and opened for the first time after 13 years of moderate use.Japanese brand watches are durable and use it according to it's capability, do not abuse it!
